**Collection path:** `events/{event_id}/networking-timeslots`

| Input | Type | POST | PATCH | Notes |
| :---- | :---- | ----: | ----: | :---- |
| `track_id` | Scalar ID | Optional if a suitable default exists | Optional | Must identify a networking track in the event. |
| `networking_area_id` | Scalar ID | Optional if a default exists | Optional | Must identify an event networking area. |
| `parent_timeslot_id` | Scalar ID or `null` | Optional | Optional | Parent timeslot; model validation enforces the event boundary. |
| `start_time` | ISO 8601 string | Required for a valid create | Optional | Converted through the event's time-zone compatibility logic. |
| `duration` | Scalar number | Required for a valid create | Optional | Minutes; with start time it supplies the model-required end time. |
| `end_time` | ISO 8601 string | Exposed but currently discarded | Exposed but currently discarded | The downstream timeslot parameter allowlist currently strips this field; use `duration`. |
| `color` | Scalar string or `null` | Optional | Optional | Color value. |
| `registrant_list_ids` | Array of scalar IDs | Optional | Optional | Networking gating lists; IDs must belong to the event. |
| `rating_registrant_list_ids` | Array of scalar IDs | Optional | Optional | Rating gating lists. |
| `child_timeslot_ids` | Array of scalar IDs | Optional | Optional | Child timeslots; model validation enforces parent/event consistency. |

These mutations force `reservable: true`; clients cannot use this endpoint to convert the record into a content session.

## POST a networking timeslot

```shell
curl --request POST \
  --url "${BRELLA_API_BASE_URL}/api/core/organizations/${BRELLA_ORGANIZATION_ID}/events/${BRELLA_EVENT_ID}/networking-timeslots" \
  --header "Accept: application/vnd.brella.v4+json" \
  --header "Brella-API-Access-Token: ${BRELLA_API_ACCESS_TOKEN}" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data-raw '{
    "track_id": 502,
    "networking_area_id": 91,
    "start_time": "2026-09-03T10:15:00Z",
    "duration": 30,
    "color": "#58D78E",
    "registrant_list_ids": [401]
  }'
```

The response type is `networking-timeslot`. Useful write-response fields include `track_id`, `networking_area_id`, `start_time`, `end_time`, `duration`, and `color`.

## PATCH a networking timeslot

```shell
curl --request PATCH \
  --url "${BRELLA_API_BASE_URL}/api/core/organizations/${BRELLA_ORGANIZATION_ID}/events/${BRELLA_EVENT_ID}/networking-timeslots/5601" \
  --header "Accept: application/vnd.brella.v4+json" \
  --header "Brella-API-Access-Token: ${BRELLA_API_ACCESS_TOKEN}" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data-raw '{
    "start_time": "2026-09-03T10:30:00Z",
    "duration": 45,
    "color": "#3478F6",
    "registrant_list_ids": [401, 402]
  }'
```

Changing the networking area can reassign meeting points and is rejected when the new area cannot support the timeslot's existing meeting types.
