**GET**

- Fields: `parent-id`, `name`, `position`, `intent-pair-ids`, `created-at`, `updated-at`, `event-id`, `children-count`, `category`.  
- Filters: `parent_id`, `category`, `intent_pair_id`.  
- Associations: none.

**POST/PATCH inputs:** `parent_id`, `name`, `position`, `intent_pair_ids` (array).

A record without `parent_id` is a category; a record with a parent is a child interest. Categories cannot have intent pairs. Parents and intent pairs must belong to the event's matchmaking configuration.
